Al Gore will give a keynote address
at the International Conference on Green Purchasing

Participating in the World Environment People's Conference held in Suwon this October

1,500 government officers, entrepreneurs, citizens, etc. from 70 countries will attend the conference 'Coping with Climate Change through Green Purchasing' held from Oct 20 through 23

Former US Vice President Al Gore will give a keynote address at the International Conference on Green Purchasing held in Suwon on the 21st of October.
Mr. Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize as an environmental activist; it currently states Mr. Gore who won the Nobel Peace Prize by changing himself into an environmental activist.
In addition to Mr. Gore, the conference Coping with Climate Change through Green Purchasing'will be attended by government officers related with the environment, entrepreneurs, citizens, NGOs, environmental institutes, etc.
The 3rd Int'l Conference on Green Purchasing is related with the environment and will be hosted by IGPN and ICLEI and sponsored by Suwon City, Gyeonggi-do, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, etc.
This is the third conference since its first one was held in Sendai, Japan in 2004, and the second in Barcelona, Spain in 2006. In this conference, the activity of consumption required in each field to cope with climate change and the respective tasks will be examined with a variety of methods of execution that may improve the global environment from the aspects of producer and consumer.
In particular, this event is organized to be attended by a variety of organizations such as NGOs groups, citizens of Suwon, as well as environment-related international institutes from a wide range of fields, which is meaningful in that the method of execution for green purchasing will be explored at the meeting at the presence of public and private, and producer and consumer.

Approximately 1,500 participants including persons concerned with Green Environment Movement throughout the world and citizens from 70 countries are expected to attend this conference. Starting on the eve of the 20th of October various programs including speeches and debates in the sessions on environmental issues, green village festival, Suwon tour, visit to ecological conservation area (DMZ), etc. will be introduced
